We ate dinner at the bar. I've been coming here many years and remember Woody as the bartender. He is great, he even remembered my drink after many years. The building has a historic cozy charm and is located right in town across from the lake.
Absolutely perfect. Spending Thanksgiving 2017 here. Love this place. Atmosphere is fantastic. Great service. Room is outstanding. Food is superb. Came here in 2016. Will be back in 2018!
It just so happened to be Seafood festival while we in Skaneateles and The Sherwood Inn outdoor area was packed with music and people dancing and drinking and eating under large tents. It was lots of fun. I will be back.
My fiancee and I had lunch at the restaurant after visiting some wedding venues in the area. The view of the lake was beautiful from our table. The service was excellent and the food exceeded our expectations. We really liked the ambiance if the Sherwood, if we get married nearby we will be recommending it to our guests.
We had the brisket sandwich and the Cornish hen. The brisket was great, open face with a side of German potato salad. The Cornish hen was okay. It was a new seasonal dish and I probably should have just ordered from the regular menu. Meals in the past have been very good.
Outstanding! Rates extremely reasonable. Looking forward you summer visit next time around. We had some great food there too. Other local food joints were great too
The dinner was wonderful but could use a little tweaking.
